Finally got over the challenge of writing lyrics to the melody inspired by my oudist friend Michael. Can’t wait to share with you the demo, but for now, here are the draft lyrics. (The underscores signify vocal ornaments middle-eastern style.)

Thanks again to Elizabeth for hopping on the IG live and contributing the word “cleanse”, replacing “wash”, as “cleanse” has a deeper meaning than “wash”. For example, if I say, my clothes were washed, that’s something normal. But if I say, my clothes were cleansed, not only they would be washed, but it would imply I have prayed over them or something for deeper purification. ????
